We advise on residential and commercial conveyancing, wills, probate and lasting powers of attorney, family law, immigration, employment law, landlord and tenant matters, personal injury, business sales and acquisitions, and commercial agreements. Notarial services are available at our Nottingham and Derby offices. Our property practice is led personally by our Senior Partner, Dr Aamir Nawaz, a solicitor of twenty years' standing, and covers everything from a first purchase through to defective and unregistered titles, leasehold extensions, new build deadlines and auction timetables. We act on the panels of the major mortgage lenders. We work in the way we would want a firm to work for us. Every client is given a named fee earner with a direct telephone number and email address rather than a general enquiry line, is told who supervises the file and who covers it during any absence, and is kept informed as the matter moves. We quote fixed fees wherever the work allows, and we set out in advance any circumstance in which a further charge could arise, because a quotation that grows after instruction was never really a quotation at all. Trent Law Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority under number 597524. We hold the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditation and Lexcel practice management accreditation.     Very grateful for the care taken

    I am 79 and this was the first time I had moved house on my own since my husband died. I was quite frightened of the whole process, and of being taken advantage of, if I am honest. Nobody at this firm ever made me feel foolish. Things were explained to me more than once when I asked and never in a hurried way. When there was something I needed to sign, the girl who dealt with my file went through it line by line on the telephone first. I am now settled in my bungalow and very happy. My daughter, who is a good deal more suspicious than I am, has said she will use them herself.

      I can’t recommend Aamir Nawaz highly enough.
