Saw different professionals as you would expect however I was given the help and advice needed on both occasions it was delivered professionally with consideration clear explanations kept updated via emails and treated with respect and given time as I am disabled when I needed to go to see them

Very informative, looked after well, did a home visit for us, delivered as promised

Prepared mirror Wills for my wife and I. Guided through the process and listened to our input. Also dealt with property record, which took several months on the part of the Land Registry. No fault of the solicitor.

Communication and service was very poor. Constantly chasing without feedback, never spoke in person to our conveyancing solicitor as they were never available. Found more information via others and estate agents.

I would have no confidence in Clowes and Co. and would not recommend them. Errors were made in multiple areas including money laundering checks and handling of search results. Had to go to their providers to get information on how to get answers from my solicitors. Value for money 1 star as did not complete job

This solicitor caused unnecessary delays and confusion over proof of funds for a cash property purchase. Basic questions took weeks to answer, and after paying €300 for translations, I was told the documents weren’t acceptable. Their demands for excessive bank statements were unreasonable, and their tone during discussions felt unprofessional.

After switching to a new solicitor, the entire process was completed in just 4 weeks without any issues. The difference was night and day—this firm clearly lacked experience with cash purchases. Avoid if you want a smooth, efficient transaction.

Clowes & Co proved to be the correct choice for us when choosing a conveyacer for our purchase. Despite numerous delays outside of their control they were always responsive and helpful, no matter how naive our questions were. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I instructed Clowes on the basis on the reviews which mentioned good communication and service overall. This has not been my experience. There is zero communication. When I phone I can never get to speak to the solicitor and when I email I don’t get a reply. I’ve found that the solicitor sits on information and takes far too long to action anything. The whole chain is ready to go apart from us and this is down to the solicitor being so slow. She has all the information she needs, she just hasn’t responded to her counterparts acting for our buyers. When I have chased recently, I have just received an automated response saying how busy they are. This isn’t my fault. They shouldn’t take on work if they aren’t able to deal with it in a timely fashion. It is unacceptable not provide updates or any communication at all. This week alone they have been contacted by myself and both estate agents from our sale and purchase. As yet, still no response.
