I used Easthams for the sale my existing home and purchase of a new build property. Jenny and Adele were very helpful and explained the process whenever I had queries. The costs were explained right from the outset and I was notified by email as the process progressed. We had a difficult seller at the opposite end of the chain and I feel that my solicitor and my buyers solicitor only reacted as/when the first buyer in the chain gave dates etc. I felt we were just expected to wait and do what was set out by other parties in the chain. I would have expected a more proactive approach to pursue my requirements, as the client, so that’s the reason for 4 stars not 5.

As a first time buyer, the experience of dealing with Bell Lamb & Joynson was very straightforward, all steps were clearly explained and I was kept informed throughout the whole process. My solicitors were Amy Keggin and Cíara Furey and they were both very friendly, helpful, professional and informative throughout the whole process. I was even emailed and provided documents out of hours, which was very useful for me. It took less than 2 months for exchange and completion and this was due to the efficient and smooth running process of Bell Lamb & Joynson. I particularly liked the online portal checklist and the automatic emails, which informed of the steps that had been completed. Overall, I was very impressed with the service provided; I highly recommend Bell Lamb & Joynson for conveyancing and would happily be using them again in the future, thanks again.

Recommended to us by two friends, independently, we had a really good experience overall with our house move (buy and sell, with a chain); We’ve only used smaller setups with one or a handful of solicitors in the past, and the Russell & Russell operation felt much “bigger” in comparison. The upside is lots of automation and fast responses, with much of the work done via an electronic system early on (app + online), and then through emails from lots of different paralegals later on in the process. The downside is that this can occasionally be a little inconsistent and even confusing (especially if you’re buying and selling two different properties). However, as exchange and completion approached, a single conveyancer took the lead, and our experience from that point on was brilliant. Great advice, given fast, from a single point of contact (thank you, Laura Muir). Overall Russell & Russell will likely suit most people very well, particularly if you prefer online/apps/email.
