As a first-time buyer, this was my first experience of dealing with a firm of solicitors. I received a very prompt reply to my initial enquiry, and a guide to the conveyancing process which explained the process in plain English although as we got closer to completion, I did have questions which, with hindsight, I feel could have been better anticipated. I was impressed by the thoroughness of the process and the quantity and quality of information generated by the local searches and the exchanges between solicitors. At the same time, errors were made in some of the documents I received and I sometimes had to wait longer (a week or more) for a reply to an email than I would have liked. These relatively minor issues made the experience a good rather than a great one.

Positive experience with everyone involved at Poole Alcock from the initial exchange of emails with Chloe Heath, the file opening procedure with Eve Bright and finally the matter was progressed by Katie from Chloe Heath's team. All emails and phone calls were both friendly but professional. Any enquiries raised by the Buyer's solicitors were passed to us quickly and once answered by us were then forwarded to keep the matter moving.

I recently used Winston Solicitors for the sale of my house. They maintained regular communication throughout, and the quoted cost was maintained, with no hidden extras. I was very happy with the service, and they have a great relationship with Cornerstone, whom I sold my house with, so everyone was always in the loop. I would highly recommend, and would not hesitate to use this local business again. Incidently I used an online cost comparison website initially, and contacted 2 companies that were at the top for the cheapest price.... Im still waiting for them to get back to me months later! So a cheaper national company is not always better, Ill always go local from now, it was also very convenient for me to be able to drive to the office in Leeds, and drop off important paperwork.
