As a Canadian, dealing with real estate in UK has been quite eye opening and totally mind boggling. It makes one wonder who is responsible for this ridiculous law that a potential buyer can walk away from a deal they have agreed on, which has been in progress for months. What does that leave the seller and the chain the subsequent people are in, in the meantime ? No security, no assurance, no guarantee, no peace of mind. Selling property in UK can be a person’s worse experience of their life. So much for what I think of UK Real Estate. Having said that……… I was one of the lucky ones who did not need to purchase another house in UK, and my potential buyers were a lovely first time buyer couple who did not walk away from the deal and the sale was completed after 3 months. The firm of Lyons Bowe were a pleasure to deal with, right from the beginning dealing with different departments in their firm, who handled different tasks, step by step, all of the personnel were professional, friendly and approachable. They made this experience bearable and I would definitely recommend this firm to anyone else looking for solicitors to handle the sale of their property.
