In England commercial property work covers acquisition, disposal, leasing, development, financing and management of business real estate such as shops, offices, warehouses, industrial premises and mixed‑use sites. A practising solicitor carries out pre‑contract due diligence and searches, negotiates and drafts heads of terms, commercial leases, licences, option and development agreements, sale contracts and security documents, and completes registration with HM Land Registry. They advise on business tenancy protection under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, handle planning permission with local planning authorities, deal with business rates issues and represent clients in the Business and Property Courts or arbitration.

“We were recommended Ronald Fletcher Baker by our Mortgage Advisor. I cannot thank Peter Smith enough for their continued support throughout the whole process. I had daily communication which kept me up to date with our mortgage application and any questions I had, I had quick responses. I would 100% recommend RFB to anyone who needs this service. I had this perception before buying a house that it was going to be a really stressful process, however, Peter Smith made it a very smooth process.”

“I have been through not just the sale from h*ll but two sales that fell through and one that fell through, revived and finally after a ridiculously long time manged to complete yesterday. Throughout that time my solicitor Kirsty Trevis and her assistant Nicky Tillyer went above and beyond to keep me informed, keep me sane and the sale on track. I have been a property owner for 45 years and this was truly the worst experience of my property buying life. I live far away from Minehead and Kirsty and I never met. But the saddest thing about completing yesterday is we will never have a purpose to be in touch again! If you want a solicitor who is not just good at her job but a thoroughly nice person, ask for Kirsty (and Nicky!)”
