In England, this work covers how the Crown must prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt and how a solicitor defends someone facing criminal charges by scrutinising the prosecution’s evidence, coordinating disclosure requests, and advising on appropriate pleas and defences. A solicitor reviews witness statements, expert reports, and the crossexamination plan, drafts robust defence submissions, and represents the client at magistrates’ court or the Crown Court. The aim is to expose weaknesses in the Crown’s case and secure the best possible outcome.

I recently had to engage the services of a solicitors to deal with a pending motoring offence which could have seen me loose my license and create considerable hardship for my family and offers. I was recommended to Slee Blackwell solicitors and engaged Jen Law. The service and support was excellent making a stressful situation much less painful with clear support guidance.

Gareth Needs and his team were very helpful and clear in all the advise given. They were as much concerned about my personal welfare as much as the criminal case I was accused of. Hopefully I wont need his help again but would recommend him to anyone else who found themselves in the same situation I was in.
