This work covers offences where large groups or networks plan and carry out criminal activity, often across multiple locations, for example conspiracy to commit crimes, money laundering, people trafficking, or running organised criminal enterprises. A solicitor in this area defends individuals accused of such offences, reviews complex evidence, negotiates with the Crown Prosecution Service, interviews witnesses, challenges disclosure and warrants, applies for bail, drafts and negotiates legal documentation, and represents the client at hearings and trials in the Crown Court. The work is shaped by the gravity of organised crime and the need for robust, strategic defence.
Where a solicitor protects your position
The consequences are substantial: serious criminal liability, potential long custodial sentences, and profound personal and financial impact. A solicitor protects the client’s position by ensuring timely, compliant investigations, challenging flawed evidence, and carefully navigating disclosure regimes, admissibility of material, and trial procedure to secure the best possible outcome.
