I was arrested in April 2025, and incorrectly accused of touching a woman inappropriately on her chest which I vehemently denied, I was held in custody for nearly 20hours, and interviewed by the police at the police station. The matter was further escalated to the Crown Prosecution Services. After many correspondences, legal statements, the matter is now officially concluded with no further action taken (NFA) – thanks to Andrew McArthur and his team. This is a major relief and I’m very happy with this great news as it means I can now put this bad situation behind me and move on with my life. It was the most distressing experience of my life and I’m glad it’s over. I have never been in trouble before and this was genuinely a frightening experience for me and has impacted me emotionally. Similarly, being on pre-charge bail was one the scariest experiences of my life, with constant uncertainty and a dark cloud hanging over my head every day. I would never wish it on anybody. Importance of getting legal help. Before this situation, I have never really concerned myself with lawyers/solicitors etc, - but I’ve come to find it is extremely important to get legal help as it makes a major difference, - particularly if facing a life changing legal situation where your freedom and reputation are both on the line. I had a legal aid lawyer during my police interview, but I wanted to have my own private lawyer - Andrew was recommended to me and he exceeded my expectations, he’s attentive, empathetic and a great legal mind. He made time for me on a bank holiday when I was at my lowest and quickly got my defence started. He and his team prepared all the relevant materials, securing CCTV which the police failed to do. He put together legal letters of representation and supporting information to the CPS and finally my case was given no further action (NFA status) meaning no prosecution, I’m so grateful I can’t put into words.
