I am very pleased to have found Katie as my solicitor. From the start I found her very easy to talk to, she listened very attentively and I felt she thoroughly understood my situation without judgement. Her legal knowledge was excellent and she managed my expectations from the start, always providing me with a balanced view. Her experience also showed through her insight and other wider (not specifically legal) knowledge and advice. She was an excellent advocate for me in court - calm, confident and not flustered by challenges. She was also very good at being able to recommend the right barristers and other professionals when needed. Communication was always very fast, and if she wasn't available there was another member of the team who knew my case and was available to me. Overall I was very impressed by Katie's ability to keep things on track and focus on getting to a resolution - she diffused potential issues with her rational and amenable nature and pragmatic approach. She had many methods to avoid conflict and try to resolve things out of court, but she was also sensible and didn't use costs on avenues that were proving to be pointless. My overall impression of Hartlaw is that it is a big enough firm to have all the legal knowledge and experience needed, but small enough to feel as though they all know and care about their clients.
