Going through a divorce is never easy, but having the right support made a world of difference. From the start, my solicitor, Alexandra, was clear, calm, and responsive. Her initial advice, was probably not in her best interests as she suggested that submit the forms to start the divorce and I try and find a mutual acquaintance to help agree a settlement without resulting in mediation. During the divorce process when it became clear that mediation was not progressing or going to have the desired outcome Alexandra swiftly outlined the best course of action. It was very clear that she was experienced and used her experience to help navigate the next stage of the process. At all times, Alexandra explained every step in plain English, kept me informed, and handled the more stressful parts with real care and professionalism. I always felt I was in safe hands, and I’m grateful for how smoothly everything was managed. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her services.

The divorce process between my wife and myself started out on relatively amicable terms and we agreed and documented all matters that needed to be resolved between us. The involvement of her new partner and the subsequent appointment of a solicitor significantly changed the dynamic and everything that had been agreed was suddenly revoked. After two years of wrangling I engaged Stowe Family Law out of desperation and the world suddenly got a lot clearer. I got a far better understanding of my position, rights and how various matters could be progressed and resolved. The minute Stowe got involved, the other solicitors quietened down. All outstanding matters were resolved and the divorce completed within 6 months.

I was represented by Heather Lucy of McAlister Family Law in navigating the financial settlement of a divorce in which communication had broken down. Heather's conduct and navigation through this process was exemplary. Naturally, I found the whole situation difficult and wanted nothing more to navigate it as smoothly as possible with as little drama as possible and not have an unneccesary fight with my ex-wife's solicitor. Heather not only facilitated this but where my ex-wife's solicitor was difficult and unprofessional, Heather disarmed the situation to get us back on track and did so in a manner that built and reinforced trust in her capabilities. I am very, very grateful for her skill, demeanour, and character. When I was finding things particularly difficult she reached out to give me some contacts to help my situation. She in no way had to do that but this level of professional care should be recognized. I never want to be in the position of needing their services again but if I do I would reach out to Heather and McAlister Family Law without hesitation.

Highly recommend Shama butt & Olaolu Awosanya especially to any parent going through the family court with children with additional and complex needs as it was fully focused on them and their needs, as I suffer from anxiety they made the whole process as comfortable as it could be and delt with sensitive matters such as domestic violence amazingly.
