Top 10 of 19 law firms for Complex Boundary Disputes, Housing & Property | Taunton, Somerset

Law firms ranked by client reviews

Complex boundary disputes cover conflicts over where land ends, including contested fences, walls, hedges, encroachments, and disputes about servitudes or rights of way. A solicitor in this area helps gather title deeds and title plans from the Land Registry, considers historic plans and deeds, and arranges or reviews expert surveys to establish a lawful boundary. They may draft or respond to correspondence, negotiate boundary agreements, and, if required, issue or defend civil proceedings in the county or High Court to determine ownership, enforcements, or boundary rights.

Louise Langabeer

Tagged solicitor Louise Langabeer

We really wanted to say how very grateful we are to Louise Langabeer and her team for all their help over the years. They have helped on several occasions with purchases and sales of property and land and have been wonderful in helping us resolve a very difficult problem with a boundary. We have always been kept fully informed during each transaction and we would highly recommend Slee Blackwell and especially Louise and her team to anyone who needs help with property transactions.

David Chapman

Tagged solicitor David Chapman

We used Amicus Law for the recent sale of our house and purchase of our new property here in Minehead. David Chapman and his team provided excellent service. They dealt with everything very quickly and kept us fully informed at every stage. David was always available to answer any queries or concerns. He worked hard at the end to make sure we completed on the given day as there was a problem further down the chain. I would recommend Amicus Law and would certainly use them again.

Kirsty Trevis

Tagged solicitor Kirsty Trevis

We're so glad we used Kirsty at Maitland Walker. I had my suspicions that this could be a little drawn out as boundaries had been moved, which was fine on the ground, but legally with HMLR - it was full of surprises and not the good sort!! Kirsty remained professional at all times, along with the odd bit of good humour (which was definitely needed!!) and her diligence eventually prevailed when the other side agreed that it was their mess to sort out, yet time and time again (6 times in total I think) Kirsty would uncover a problem they'd 'missed'. In short Kirsty advised and kept us up to date with proceedings and made sure the i's dotted and the t's crossed, so that now we have our title, its clean and complete! It was longer than any of us had wanted, but she got us there!! We cant thank you enough Kirsty!

Bhavani Hogarty

Tagged solicitor Bhavani Hogarty

We have a particularly unpleasant neighbour. 17 years ago after 5 years or more of legal correspondence we attended a mediation hearing over a boundary issue, after which all parties signed an agreement and a determined boundary was submitted successfully to Land Registry. My neighbour never reconciled himself to this, accusing all parties of corruption, and refused to abide by the agreement to such an extent that he eventually built a structure across the determined boundary. We felt forced to go to law and were recommended to Mrs. Bhavani Hogarty at Pardoes in Yeovil by the surveyor who did work for us in 2009. Ultimately we attended a Summary Judgment hearing achieving success which was entirely due to the hard work put in by my excellent lawyer and her chosen barrister Mr. Edward Peters KC.
