Bereavement services in England cover administering an deceased person’s estate, including obtaining a grant of probate or letters of administration, collecting assets, settling debts, and distributing the remainder to beneficiaries. A solicitor drafts and submits the application for probate, inventories assets, communicates with banks and other institutions, and negotiates any Inheritance Tax issues, acting for executors or beneficiaries as appropriate. The work may also involve advising on trusts, lifetime gifts and post-death registrations.

Jasmine dealt with me in a very professional and courteous manner. She was respectful of my time of grief, but also very helpful in facilitating the tasks that I needed to perform. Overall, I am extremely grateful, and I would have no hesitation in recommending Slee Blackwell for any legal matters

Michael Brierley

Tagged solicitor Michael Brierley

I honestly cannot recommend Michael highly enough. The professional and empathetic support he provided, made the most difficult time of my life, more bearable. I enlisted Michael's help when my partner died without a will. We owned a house together, and, as you would expect, our lives were inextricably linked. I did not know where I stood or what would happen, which felt very scary at a time when my world had already been turned upside down. Michael takes a holistic approach to his cases, expertly advising on the legalities but also taking account of the emotions of the situation. After our first meeting, I immediately felt more informed on the situation and also reassured that whatever was going to happen I would have Michael in my corner to help. His communication was excellent throughout and very proactive. In the end, everything was resolved amicably but the peace of mind it gave me knowing I had Michael to help was invaluable to me. I honestly don't know how I would have coped without his advice and support. Thankyou Michael
