This work covers creating a will in England without professional help, commonly called a “do-it-yourself will.” A solicitor practising in this area helps when the document must be legally robust, clearly arranged for executors, and suitable for complex family or tax matters. A solicitor in this area drafts or reviews the document, checks that it complies with the will formalities, and ensures it expresses the testator’s wishes while minimising the risk of challenge or invalidity. How these matters proceed can depend on the complexity of the estate and the potential for disputes among beneficiaries.

Your flyer dropping through our letterbox - was a very welcome reminder that we were long overdue to review our affairs- particularly as an extended holiday was imminent Sophie was able to slot us in for an appointment the following Friday. She was very personable, professional and reassuring - helping us to get our thoughts and plans in order. Our wills and Trust were drafted on the Monday - our couple of queries were answered promptly & clearly in Sophie’s absence - and we signed off the paperwork on the following Friday. So everything was finalised within 7 days, First class service!

We found the process very easy. We had a fairly simple will so did not need too much advice. We had only a handful of meetings before the actual wills were signed. No complaints whatsoever.

Michael Brierley

Tagged solicitor Michael Brierley

I honestly cannot recommend Michael highly enough. The professional and empathetic support he provided, made the most difficult time of my life, more bearable. I enlisted Michael's help when my partner died without a will. We owned a house together, and, as you would expect, our lives were inextricably linked. I did not know where I stood or what would happen, which felt very scary at a time when my world had already been turned upside down. Michael takes a holistic approach to his cases, expertly advising on the legalities but also taking account of the emotions of the situation. After our first meeting, I immediately felt more informed on the situation and also reassured that whatever was going to happen I would have Michael in my corner to help. His communication was excellent throughout and very proactive. In the end, everything was resolved amicably but the peace of mind it gave me knowing I had Michael to help was invaluable to me. I honestly don't know how I would have coped without his advice and support. Thankyou Michael
