Following my mother’s death, I needed to find a solicitor who could help me through applying for Probate and managing her Will. As I had previous experience of Hansells managing this process from before I contacted their helpline and was contacted by Craig Gosling. Before we had our initial meeting Craig sent me a very useful list of documentation to gather which would be needed for the process. When we first met Craig outlined the process of applying for Probate, what it entailed, managed expectations of how long it was likely to take and also my responsibilities as the Executor of the Will. From our initial meeting to when Craig put in the Application for Probate he kept me fully informed of what was happening. As I am remote from Norwich it is very useful that the majority of the interaction could be done via email, even down to being able to scan and sign documents rather than relying on the postal system. It has also been very useful that as part of the overall process one of Craig’s colleagues has managed the house sale element. Following on from having Craig manage a probate application, Craig has helped us bring our Wills up to date and also finally putting Lasting Powers of Attorney in place. Craig has simplified our Wills, established that we needed to sign an additional document to make the trust element of Wills work and then taking us through the process to create our LPA documents.
