'I must make a will' - a mantra that was all too often in my mind along with 'I'll get around to it oneday'. Thanks to an inquisitive moment at a Sporting Club social when I simply asked Andy Burke of BLJ "What exactly do you guys do?" he included in his overview, mid golf swing that Wills were indeed a core part of the BLJ offering. He kindly arrange for Jessica Flaherty to meet me for a free consultation which was a genuine pleasure to share my story so far and the legacy I wanted to leave and protect with peace of mind if the largely unthinkable happened with a 'just in case' in place. This turned from something I had been dreading and avoiding to the measured and systematic process that even granted me time and thinking space to make any changes to my wishes with any details included. The flexible payment also helped during a rather challenging time and this peace of mind was a real blessing during these relentlessly busy times. A big thanks to Andy, Jessica and the team for everything - highlights recommend.

I used Paul to draft my Will which was relatively complex because I wished it to create, if necessary, a vulnerable person trust for my wife who is in 24 hour nursing care and unable to look after herself. I then wished the residual estate to be divided between family and other personal beneficiaries and charitable bequests. Paul took great care to understand my wishes and then to explain the draft Will and associated Letter of Wishes. All done speedily and sympathetically.

The Will Trust was set up 30 years ago and is only just now being dissolved. Gadsden Coupe (previously Coupe Bradbury) advised and set up the Trust initially as an investment vehicle and both advised and dealt with the require changes to investments over the Trust duration. There were significant complications involving the contrasting requirements of the executors of the will and those of the Trust which were professionally and sympathetically handled by Gadsden Coupe (and earlier by Coupe Bradbury). As a Trustee, I have been very grateful for the prompt and valuable advice and the implementation of the decisions we arrived at. At all times I have been kept informed of progress and advised of potential beneficial changes that could be made to the Will Trust. Thank you very much.
