I used Paul to draft my Will which was relatively complex because I wished it to create, if necessary, a vulnerable person trust for my wife who is in 24 hour nursing care and unable to look after herself. I then wished the residual estate to be divided between family and other personal beneficiaries and charitable bequests. Paul took great care to understand my wishes and then to explain the draft Will and associated Letter of Wishes. All done speedily and sympathetically.

Doing a will is always something you should do, but always never seem to get around. Dealing with Emma and her team opened my eyes that getting proper legal and professional advice on this strange, but necessary task is imperative. This is the third time I have used Taylor and Emmet for my house conveyancing and overall I was equally happy with this experience. I did have some early frustration with trying to find the right person to answer a query I had. While I understand the increased efficiency of completing forms online, I had to try several different times to find someone who could answer my question about whether I could proceed even though the vendor had not obtained probate in order to sell the property. However, after that the work was completed smoothly and efficiently and I was kept informed during the exchange and completion phase of the transaction.

I made out a new Will after coming into an inheritance. My executors, two friends, were older than me and I'm 81, so I chose T V Edwards which my neighbor recommended as they had an office nearby. Eventually it all worked out but it took a lot of unanswered emails and phone calls, and I did not fully understand the information I was given initially. After they suggested adding some words to the paragraph appointing them as Executors I met up with an employee at their apparently unstaffed Battersea office. If they redrafted the whole Will in their style I would be charged £400 but as they had now reviewed it and suggested a change, which I had done, they could now store it at their Whitechapel offices for £200. The representative could not accept payment at the Battersea office so it was done by BACS. I am now happy that T V Edwards are my Executors. On reflection a personal visit to their Whitechapel office might have made the whole exercise much easier and avoided the confusion.

My wife and I, with no dependants, decided it was high time to make proper provisions as to how we would wish our assets to be used if either or both of us lost our ability to make rational decisions and on our passings, that our funerals could be properly arranged and our bequests go to both our friends and good causes without any hitches. Using a regulated firm of solicitors was our desired choice and following discussions at the offices of our local firm that had acted for us in property transaction previously we decided on Judge & Priestley. Russell Ali there was able to guide us through the processes needed and prepare our Wills and Powers of Attorney documents for us at a fair, fixed price. We are both more than happy with Russell's professionalism. An "excellent" rating is more than justified.
