A poorly handled police prosecution.

My two daughters had a small fight, what I as an old middle class working man would call a cat fight, one daughter was slightly injured and unfortunately for us all the police were involved. Although my daughter who had the minor injuries did not press charges the police and CPS charged her sister with ABH, my younger daughter wrote a letter to the police trying to get the charges dropped to no avail.
My elder daughter was looking at a custodial sentence or at least a suspended sentence, which all of our family and friends thought was ridiculous, but the law is the law as they say.
My "offending" daughter had been advised by the duty solicitor, at the police station, to plead guilty, we were in a predicament when going to Coventry magistrates court for sentencing.
Devine Okeefe were recommended by a friend and I got in touch with them, they told me the cost, which I thought was reasonable, what to do, character references to get etc.
In court Paul O'keefe was brilliant, my daughter received a community order, which she accepted graciously, and I was delighted that one of my children would not be the first in our family history to be imprisoned, On leaving the court I am not sure who had the biggest smile Paul O'keefe or me.
