Howe & Spender is an amalgamation of two well established South Wales Legal firms. In 1995 John Spender & Co merged with Howe Walsh & Ambrose, and although we can trace our origins back to 1895, we are more interested in the present than the past – Making client care our priority. We were the first firm in Neath Port Talbot (and one of the first in Wales) to be awarded a Franchise Quality Mark by the Legal Aid Agency. First Class Service

Ann was brilliant from start to finish, she was always available when needed and provided straight forward advice. Despite one house sale falling through Ann acted as quickly as possible to secure and complete our second instruction. All staff were very helpful, approachable and professional. Great value for money and we will definitely use this company again if required.

LPA Application

My LPA application was in relation to my 101 year old mother. Even at her advanced age, her mental capabilities are remarkable, but age has reduced her physical abilities - so hence the need for an LPA.
From my initial enquiry/discussion I received all relevant details with patience, courtesy and also in a friendly manner. Sympathetic interviews with my mother were carried out - always in a friendly way. The outcome is that the LPA has now been completed and registered the O.P.G. I am happy to endorse Howe & Spender.

As a first time home buyer you hope that your experience will be a pleasant and exciting one helped by the support and guidance of your solicitor.
Unfortunately this does not reflect my experience with Howe & Spender.
I received what I would class as the bare minimum of service, very slow to respond and keep me up to date with progress, impartial reply’s to questions and inconsistent communication.
The overall experience has been extremely stressful, impersonal with no sense of urgency whatsoever.
