Only leaving this review as they have threatened me that this is my third and final chance to do so! The reason I haven’t done so before is because my instruction is still not complete. It has been over a year since my initial instruction for a simple transfer of equity, and I am still waiting for confirmation from the land registry. This is not because the land registry is slow it is because VHL have taken so long to process my instruction. There is a total lack of communication and it would seem the only time they do any work on your case is when you chase them for an update.
The moment I paid my final bill, they were sending me emails and texts asking if I would recommend others to use VHL, the simple answer is NO.

I personally found everyone I had contact with at Valerie Holmes law were very efficient but also very understanding. The transfer went smoothly with no problems at all.

Valerie Holmes Law were fantastic on so many levels. We went from offer to completion in 59 days, which is by far quicker than many people would experience. This was down to the hard work of everyone involved, even with our first assigned solicitor leaving the firm midway through the process. Every time something needed doing the firm acted clearly and helpfully.

Our only downside was the lack of responses at times. For instance, we completed two weeks ago today and besides being called to say we could pick up our keys, we've not had anything to confirm the process was complete. There were a few occasions where we were left waiting several days for responses. Whilst I appreciate the firm is busy, and their busyness is what helped us complete quickly, not having a response can often be very difficult to deal with as a first time buyer.

So a minor thing really, but on the whole, the firm was excellent and I'll definitely recommend.
