My 103-yr-old grandmother asked me to contact her solicitor - Scott Bailey- to help her set up lasting power of attorney. From the first conversation with Toby through the various emails with Laura to the actual meetings with Katie Dougan- in my grandmother’s place of residence- the experience was nothing short of exceptional- highly professional, very sensitive, utterly appropriate in placing my grandmother’s needs, understanding and dignity front and centre throughout and treating her as the highly functioning adult she still is despite her great age. I was both impressed and touched by Katie’s care, compassion and attention when communicating with each of us in turn. Paperwork was turned around swiftly, appointments made in a timely fashion, everything made clear and facilitated with an absolute minimum of fuss despite the fact we’re living at some distance. A model of good practice with a huge dollop of human kindness.
