We appointed John M Lewis to act for us in June 2020 on the sale of our first home and purchase of our second, based largely on the positive reviews we had read online.
We had used another local firm on the purchase of our first house around 5 years ago (who managed to turn a simple vacant possession purchase by first time buyers into a painful 16 week ordeal!) and so we were hoping for solicitors who would at least get the basics right this time.
Lisa Wills and her team were excellent, keeping us updated throughout the transaction process and also proactively moving things forward. In addition, there was always someone (Lisa or one of her team) available to speak to that knew our file and could update us on progress.
Exchange/completion was not easy (with a tight timetable and issues at either end of our chain) but the team, particularly Larissa and Kunal, worked very hard to ensure that everything went through as planned.
Finally, their fees were very reasonable and in line with the online quote we obtained when we started the process.
All in all we would not hesitate recommending John M Lewis to friends and family and would definitely use them again if needed in the future.

Our experience with John M Lewis and Co was excellent.
Great first impressions with Mr Parekh who was very informative about their services and costs involved with selling a property.
Our sale and purchase cases were then handled by Ms Simpson who was fantastic and composed throughout.
The whole company is approachable and well located, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

Excellent conveyancing service.
This was the first time selling my house and buying a replacement. The process was smooth and quick with good feedback being given throughout to me. I'd previously tried selling and buying through a different conveyancer and had nothing but run around's and being left in the dark about status and progress. Excellent solicitors
We chose John M Lewis following a quote from our estate agent which seemed reasonable. We were assigned Kunal to deal with the conveyancing process for our house sale and purchase. As we were relocating from the midlands to Wales it was a particularly stressful time. Kunal was professional, efficient, excellent at communicating and dealt with all enquiries effectively. Property Conveyancing sale & purchase

Fast, efficient and easy to contact
I can’t fault Kunal or his professionalism and commitment. Our sale was problematic and kunal did an amazing job of keeping us updated and putting pressure where it was needed. We got through it and sold the house.
