Xena Semikina is a solicitor–advocate (regulated by the SRA) with 8 years PQE. Xena’s main areas of practice are commercial and corporate law, M&A, property, including Landlord and Tenant, and family law. She works with high net worth individuals and companies. She handles a heavy caseload comprising drafting and negotiations, lengthy litigation and advocacy. A significant part of her practice involves drafting, including commercial contracts, such as shareholder, investor, loan, agency and service agreements, but also licences, leases and tenancy agreements, as well as pleadings. She advises businesses on compliance with the new EU data protection regulations (GDPR). She is fluent in Russian and experienced in dealing with Russian-speaking clients. She holds Higher Rights of Audience and is experienced in both advocacy and litigation. Previously, Xena worked on high profile criminal cases, including complex fraud and money laundering cases, both as counsel and as a solicitor. She conducted cases at all stages of the legal process, including trial, sentencing, confiscation and appeal to the Court of Appeal. She has extensive experience in property law, and civil litigation.
