Superb support and handling of my residence and citizenship process by Karma Hickman and Alice Maresi throughout. They identified possible challenges with the application and came up with the strategy that worked. They are extremely efficient, courteous professionals and with a great human touch, hard to come by in the legal profession. I approached 14 different law firms before I came across Bishop&Sewell, who all told me that I did not have a case (because of the rules around EHIC).
Based on my very positive experience, I strongly recommend Bishop & Sewell (incidentally, they charge very fair rates) to friends and colleagues on EU immigration matters.

Fantastic experience with Karma Hickman and her team
Karma Hickman was first recommended to me in September 2020 by a close friend who had used her services a couple years before. I initially reached out for a single session with myself, my partner, and Karma to discuss our plans moving forward, as we were anticipating applying for a partner visa. Karma squeezed as much information as she could into the one hour session, and was both friendly and incredibly knowledgable. When the time came to apply for our visa, we reached out again in August 2021 and began working on our case. I had heard horror stories from other friends about solicitors who racked up large bills without disclosing costs, were uncooperative, and difficult to reach. Karma was the complete opposite. She was transparent from the start about costs and offered several payment options, which enabled my partner and I to make the right choice for us financially. She was clear about instructions, next steps, and documents that were required of both of us. She and her team caught small mistakes that we had missed and they worked efficiently to prepare our application for the Home Office as soon as possible. During the difficult waiting period after submission, Karma communicated with us and did not leave us to agonise in the dark about when our visa would come through. Although nothing is guaranteed, simply hearing from her about normal waiting times helped quell our anxieties. We had a wonderful experience, and we do firmly believe Karma's expertise and bedside manner with her clients was worth every penny. I will be recommending her to everyone I know and I will be returning when it comes time for me to move on to a different visa. Thank you Karma!
