Gemma’s main role is to meet with and take instructions from clients in order to advise them and draft their Wills and Lasting Power of Attorney documents. She also undertakes probate and intestacy work and is based in our Nuneaton office. Gemma started off as a paralegal working in personal injury before becoming an assistant fee earner to the partners for 3 years at a large defendant firm. She then moved to a local high street firm where she commenced her training contract to qualify as a Solicitor. Gemma dealt with all Private Client work, Contentious probate, a wide range of Civil Litigation matters and Employment Law. She decided that she wanted to specialise in Private Client and made the move to Alsters Kelley Solicitors once she had qualified. Gemma attended University where she studied Law with Business and graduated in 2009. Then she attended BPP Law School where she completed her Legal Practice Course before going onto qualify as a Solicitor in January 2019. Gemma has a lot of career highlights in relation to cases that she has dealt with on behalf of clients over the last 6 years including meeting people from all different backgrounds and providing assistance and helping them when they are at their most vulnerable. But the biggest career highlight is qualifying as a Solicitor following a lot of hard work and determination!
