I will not hesitate to recommend Paradigm Family Law. Highly professional, knowledgeable and genuine. James Thornton and his network of experts are invaluable, paying attention to the tiniest of detail. At first glance they may seem expensive compared to other solicitors but the fixed fee option is actually a massive financial advantage. There's no worrying about how many emails or phone calls pass between you, as you know there will be no extra cost incurred. Paradigm definitely go more than that extra mile to try achieve the best results possible.

Clear, transparent care
James has been very kind and clear with his help. I have found him to be incredibly efficient and has achieved a good result for me. James set out his costs beforehand, detailing what each stage would involve, meaning I was fully aware of the monetary implications of each decision. This is not usual, but has been enormously helpful to me. Overall, I’ve found James to be immensely knowledgeable and so patient making sure I understood every step. I would have no hesitation in recommending James to anyone. The legal element of divorce is lifted from your shoulders, so well worth the cost!

Top Class Family Lawyer in York (and Yorkshire)
I was going through a very difficult divorce with my ex husband who is a top notch narcissist. It took me a while and substantially out of pocket to realise that the usual so called top divorce law firms were completely out of their depths. Not only did they lack empathy, they were simply played by my ex. I was distraught and watched in disbelief how my ex manipulated everyone involved. This was going to cost me my fair share in our matrimonial home after 16 years of marriage and most importantly, my ability to look after my child in the short term. When I found James online I was apprehensive due to previous experience but after our first call I felt I was in safe hands. James was credible, professional, patient and available. He appreciated the emotional and financial implications of my case and worked hard to come up with an excellent strategy. In short, James helped me win my case and restored my faith in lawyers. Advice
Myself and my partner had an initial phone call with James, to advise us on how best to move forward with a pre-nuptial agreement. He went through everything very clearly and provided clarity on how the process worked - the advice was very insightful and we hugely appreciate all advice given.
