At the start of my divorce proceedings I believed that I would, through mitigation achieve a fair and amicable outcome. However once mitigation went south I was left in limbo trying to move both my ex and her solicitor forward with minimal contact with the former and delays with the later. It was at this point I chose to engage my own solicitor through Lake Legal and Hollie Burnett who ultimately represented me. The change in pace was a reassuring breakthrough with steady progress made with the financial agreement and ultimately a Final Order in place. I wouldn’t want to go through the process again but if I was advising myself at the start, I would engage a solicitor immediately. Hollie has been great and I would recommend Lake Legal to anyone that finds themselves in my position.
