Solicitor at Coffin Mew LLP

Hannah Goodeve

Solicitor

I assist clients with putting in place wills, trusts and lasting powers of attorney. I provide estate planning advice and deal with the administration of estates. I graduated from the University of Exeter in 2014 with an honours degree in Law with European Studies. Following this, I became a legal assistant at a national firm and joined Coffin Mew Solicitors in 2015. I continued to work as a legal assistant whilst completing my post-graduate studies. In 2016, I completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Guildford, during which I completed an elective module on wills, trusts and estate planning. I qualified as a Solicitor in April 2018. I have been dealing with the administration of estates and the preparation of wills, trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney since September 2017. I also have over two and a half years experience volunteering with Citizens Advice Bureau. My work with the bureau allowed me to develop an important understanding of the practical questions and problems people face when putting in place their affairs and managing the affairs of others, both whilst they are alive and when they have passed away. It also made me familiar with the common disputes that arise in relation to wills and what to look out for when drafting them.

I contacted coffin mew for my dad who wanted to change his will, we met with Hannah who was lovely. She talked to my dad and really listened, taking an interest in his life and making him feel completely at ease. He was able to get across his wishes without upset and Hannah understood him perfectly.
When an older person makes a will it's so important they feel listened to, and understood not rushed or confused. Highly recommended for a great professional service with compassion.
