We were recommended to David Jackson by an experienced Chartered Surveyor. David represented us, as lay people with a dispute with a builder, for two years through an extremely difficult (for us) process. David kept us informed every step of the way, answered e-mails by return, was always available by phone and incredibly efficient. It was always David that you spoke to, and David who dealt with the matter, not some minion. We totally relied on David and after two years were fully satisfied with the outcome. We would fully recommend his services without hesitation.

We feel safe in the knowledge that they are only over a phone call away if the situation arises when they are able to guide us in the right direction, giving us quality and professional legal advice and support. Our groundworking company, O'Connor Civils Ltd, have used CE Law's specialist construction legal support for several years for a number of issues and found their work to be first rate. When we found out about the NLC and how it works, it definitely made sense for us to join. We knew that we'd be working with the same people and benefit from the same advice and service. This is the third year that we've renewed our subscription to the NLC. During that time, we have used their legal services on several occasions. For us, it's like any insurance policy- you may not always need it, but if you do it, it's there and will be taken care of.Anything can happen in the construction industry and groundworkers are one of the most vulnerable trades to be affected by contractual disputes so the NLC way of working is perfect for us. We know that for a confirmed fee we can access the right type of legal support and advice throughout the year.

We would recommend the scheme to other Sub Contractors
As a growing company Wealden Woodstyle Ltd felt that it needed legal support and advice to help with the complex contracts we were being asked to sign. We also increasingly have to deal with challenges to the applications we make for work we have done and were unsure how to approach those issues. We met with the National Legal Consortium in September 2017 and joined the scheme. Since then we have asked the NLC to review a large number of complicated contracts and have been able to discuss problems as they arise. The fact that we are able to get advice from a specialist Construction Law Solicitor and that the advice is paid for by the NLC scheme is a great help and very reassuring. We have been very impressed by the NLC scheme and the advice we have received. It is a very simple but effective idea. We would recommend the scheme to other Sub Contractors who are struggling to find the right advice as they grow their businesses.

Peace of mind that C.E.Law are very knowledgeable on the specialist and complicated subject of contract law
Further to your survey for my objectives for joining the Legal Consortium I would like to confirm my reasons as follows: Peace of mind in the knowledge that any legal matters relating to my company's business are 'ring fenced' within the monthly costs. Peace of mind that legal advice is only a call away and the costs are incorporated in the monthly account. Peace of mind that C.E.Law are very knowledgeable on the specialist and complicated subject of contract law and relate back to myself in language that I can understand rather than legal jargon.
