This case has been going on for 5+ years, initially starting with Ian Downing. I spoke with Ian Downing for advice in June 2017 a year before I was able to leave the marriage. He advised me that it could be a difficult case that may take some time. I am glad I could not see into the future to see how drawn out and difficult this would be! Gloria has worked tirelessly on both the Children and Finances and Divorce cases. I imagine the case might stick in her mind! I personally feel the case has been very complicated and drawn out by the other party! The negotiations have gone round and round in circles with many periods of stalemate with no information provided by the other side. Most of the time dealing with a litigant in person. The case has progressed though Covid, with online hearings happening through the lock-downs. This was challenging! Gloria has never given up and has ensured that all angles were completely covered. Her advice and guidance has always been clear. She has brought in the best professionals available to help with the case, whether that be a Barrister, GA Conveyancer or Financial Advisor to assist. Gloria has always gone above and beyond during this case. Joanne Horrell has worked tirelessly in the background of the case. I am very grateful to her. Solicitors/Trainee Solicitors, Becky, Cameron and Luke have assisted in the case throughout the years and have all been wonderful too. Gloria has been aware on many occasions that I have not felt able to continue the fight as I have been mentally exhausted.
