Kindness
We recently asked Jane to create our wills. This is something that can bring all sorts of emotions to the surface and can feel a bit daunting. Jane took the time to talk us through the sometimes complicated wording, and ensured our wills said exactly what we wanted them to. She talked us through all the possible eventualities with kindness, patience and understanding, and we always felt that our queries were valued and never trivialised. Often we talk about services in terms of efficiency and speed, but more than that, Jane's kindness and patience was so appreciated.
Ruth, Jane's paralegal is a little ray of sunshine - thank you both for making something that was at times emotional, a positive experience.

Mum’s Probate
We contacted Johnson Astills to deal with our mum’s estate. It was the best decision we could have made. At what is a very difficult time it was good to get professional help to deal with matters regarding probate when we were only concerned with dealing with our loss.
We cannot fault the service and advice given and would thoroughly recommend Johnson Astills and we are now dealing with their Property Team as well. A special thanks to Jane Hinds and Kate Pettit who we’re a pleasure to deal with.

Executor looking for knowledgeable support!
I had Johnson Astills help me as Executor for my late mums estate. Whilst her estate was relatively simple, it was helpful to have someone who knew what they were doing to handle the Probate side of things whilst I dealt with getting the house ready to go on the market. Good two way communication meant we were clear about where we were in the process at all stages.

Probate and Inheritance tax
Jane and Jessica took over and concluded what turned into a protracted process of closing out our brother's estate. HMRC seemed to cause unnecessary and repeated delays to finalising inheritance tax owed, but Jane and Jessica got us there in the end.

Probate
I would like to take this opportunity in thanking our team (Jane Hinds, Jessica Latimer and Kate Pettitt). They have been a brilliant team to work with. At every point there was someone we could talk to, contact and get advice from; when the other was on holiday, and or on leave. There was always one of them at the office, at the other end of the phone or via email. They have been brilliant in helping my sisterinlaw with her language difficulty from getting interpreters set up for her, to sitting with her making calls and with my liaison with them for my sisterinlaw. The help, advice and understanding of our situation was always put first, and this was so important for us. We felt comfortable with them at all times, putting our trust in them and trusting them completely. The way they helped, explained and the planning was brilliant. We couldn't have done this without them. I cannot imagine how I would have coped with all this from London to Loughborough, if they had not been accommodating, but the process was so easy and smooth with communications. We would recommend them and no doubt we will be intouch if we require any more assistance from Jane and her team. Thank you once again to all three of them....

Wills
My partner and I needed to update our wills and this was ably dealt with by Jane Hinds and Kate Pettitt. How refreshing to find such a knowledgeable, friendly and super efficient practice. No patronising, no unintelligible jargon. They absolutely wanted to make sure everything was as we wanted and correctly done. LGBT friendly.
