Poor Service
We were moving to Belper and wanted to support and use a local business. We checked the online reviews, unfortunately we did not know that there had been personnel changes in the conveyancing team since the majority of these were posted. The service we received did not align to what others had said in their reviews. Sadly, having now spoken to other recent clients we suspect our experiences are the new norm. We believe we would have received a better and cheaper service using one of the online conveyances. Absolutely no proactivity, it did not feel like they were on top of our transaction or listening to our clear instructions on what we required, we had to manage our chain and get updates from them as the communication from Killingworth & Parrot was appalling and, in our opinion, completely unprofessional. Both our conveyancer and her supervising director were keen to tell us how busy they were supporting other clients, it feels like a lack of resources to deliver an acceptable level of service to all their paying clients. They acknowledged to us that moving is a stressful process, hopefully they reflect on how their service, or indeed, lack thereof, increase the stress levels rather than help manage them.
