Rachael joined Slater Heelis in September 2021 having specialised in Commercial Property since May 2015 after nearly 5 years in the insurance sector. Having gained a degree in Law from the University of Manchester, Rachael has been studying to obtain her CILEX qualification and hopes to qualify over the course of the next 18 months. Rachael has gained experience in many areas of commercial property, including: – Acting on acquisitions and disposals of commercial properties for national retailers, SMEs and local authorities; Asset management work in the office and retail sectors acting for landlords and tenants; Acting for both borrowers and lenders on short term bridging finance deals; Large scale lease assignment projects involving a national retailer transferring its portfolio to a group company; Acting for developer clients in the disposal of residential and commercial plot sales in the north-west and London; Conducting lease reviews for large portfolios of properties; and All aspects of Land Registry, HMRC and Companies House post-completion work.
