Melissa joined PCS as a Paralegal in January 2022 having gained two years’ experience working in the private client department of a national law firm. She was awarded PCS’ first training contract which commenced in summer 2022 and she qualified as a Solicitor with PCS in May 2024. She now plans to embark on her journey to achieving “TEP” (Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner) status. She graduated from the University of Law in 2018 and completed the Legal Practice Course and Masters with a distinction in 2019. She has solely dealt with Private Client law since finishing education and has worked alongside renowned Partners and Solicitors in the Manchester market. Melissa assists with all areas of Private Client law more specifically in relation to estate administration, preparing Probate applications, drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trust Registration, Court of Protection applications and assisting professional deputies.

    After the loss of our father in February this year, we were faced with the overwhelming task of dealing with his estate and applying for probate, something we’d never had to do before.     This firm deserve a medal for the help and support they gave me when dealing with a Will during and after the passing of. Very dear friend . Even though the Will seemed straight forward . There are all sorts of unexpected things that can pop up at a very low time of someone close no longer here . There is so much sorting out from Dr report death certificate , funeral , the freezing of accounts . Pension still being paid have to be given back , by dealing with this company for a reasonable fee which comes out of the Inheritance ( no hidden xtras )!before sending it to you . Mellissa and Emily sorts everything for you . They keep you updated at all times so no surprises . I am now keeping Mellissa and Emily to help sort all other Wills when I need them to as well as recommending them to friends as well as family ,
