Forced Redundancy/Settlement Agreement
Regrettably, my experience with the Rita was unsatisfactory. Despite understanding their workload, I expected direct communication, such as phone calls or face-to-face meetings, with my company regarding my situation, especially considering the upfront payment made for representation.
However, this expectation was not met, as only letters were sent, necessitating my review for errors. Consequently, I felt inadequately represented, culminating in my company issuing an ultimatum that seemed to catch the Rita off guard.
It appeared that Rita's attention may have been diverted by other matters, resulting in a lack of engagement with the company on my behalf. Despite initial optimism about the strength of our case, delays in communication forced me to accept their initial offer.
Instead of the anticipated representation, I primarily received emails and found myself needing to take on some of the engagement tasks that I believed Rita should have handled. While I understand Rita's busy schedule, I would have appreciated upfront communication about her availability.
Given the urgency of my situation, immediate direct engagement with the company was crucial, which unfortunately did not occur. In hindsight, I regret not initially engaging with the company myself, but my health prevented me from doing so.
On top of the fee I paid, the company also had to pay £500 + vat for review of the Settlement Agreement by Rita, due to timelines and ultimatums this was done in an hour or so and was not properly completed, which I feel is poor form on both the company and Rita's side.

Exemplary Service
After a long career with my employer I found my position under threat due to my age. I felt I needed professional legal support and spoke with Clarice Izatt who handled my initial query efficiently, and took detailed notes. As my situation at work deteriorated, a settlement agreement was being forced on me.
My case was passed on to Rita Kochar, who immediately understood my position and contacted my employer. At every stage Rita explained all options and kept me informed regularly. I was very impressed at her tenacity and her ability to get her point across to my employer in a firm manner, not allowing any delay to the process.
This resulted in a positive outcome beyond my expectations.
Rita has been a great support to me in what has been a stressful time in my career.

Rita has successfully helped me win my appeal for unfair dismissal. She was brilliant from start to end in writing up my appeal letter with all the information I gave her. She had my best interests from the first email of communication. When we spoke on the phone she was clear on what information she needed from me to help me with my case. Rita clearly takes pride in her work to offer her clients the upmost professionalism and I felt the price I paid was fair. I highly recommend her to anyone who is in a similar situation. TUPE Unfair Transfer
Being recommended to the services McCabe & Co was the best recommendation I have ever received because it brought Rita Kocher into my life at a time when I needed help. She was everything one could hope for during an employment dispute. She was efficient, straight talking and very focused on the job in hand. She kept me informed during the whole debacle, making sure I understood the situation and what steps had to be taken. Rita filled me with confidence and helped me to stay calm and understand the whole process. However much praise I place upon Rita it couldn’t be sufficient for the work she carried out on my behalf. She was focused and on the ball the whole time. She dealt with the situation in a very efficient and quick manner. Highly recommended, fast and friendly service
The prospect of engaging a solicitor was a bit daunting but McCabe & Co made it easy and Rita even more so as she was very warm and approachable. While my case didn't need a lot of her time, it was nevertheless resolved conscientiously, swiftly and professionally.
