If I could have rated as less than '1' I would have... SHAMEFUL!!
As a third party - Sharratts represented my 'ex' - I was absolutely disgusted by not only their lack of professionalism in not processing a simple document for FOUR months - including a period of two-and-a-half months in which they did not provide a single response to numerous emails, letters and calls from my own solicitor, and then (!!) sent back the form which had been signed by my ex but not actually filled in (!!!); but their shameful response to my honest letter expressing my concerns and request for, at the very least, an apology. Indeed the supposed manager (!!), denied that - even presented with documentary evidence of almost £1000 wasted costs incurred simply in chasing them - she could "agree with" any of the points I had raised. How is that even possible when it is there in black and white, not only from me as a lay person, but from a professional colleague?!!... I was shocked. She then effectively refused further communication. Obviously, I have spoken to both the Legal Ombudsman and the Solicitors Regulation Authority about this, who were also extremely concerned about this lack of professionalism and, particularly, accountability. The case continues...... not least because Sharratts are STILL to submit a key form to the court that they should have submitted more than a year ago!! Shameful.
