I am a Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution Team. I specialise in Contentious Probate and Property Disputes. My clients need advice when they find themselves in a dispute with someone such as a family members, tenant, neighbour or business associate. I help them to understand their legal position and the options available. Sometimes it is necessary to fight their case in court but more usually it’s possible to negotiate a good resolution of the dispute. I am a member of the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists. I have experience dealing with claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975, invalid will claims, removal of executor claims, breach of trust claims and Court of Protection applications. I also act in commercial and residential property disputes. These include claims relating to 1954 Act lease renewals, breach of tenancy, dilapidations, possession and forfeiture. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, I worked in television news for BBC and ABC (Australia). I have a broad experience of life outside the law and like to think this gives me a mature approach to dealing with the disputes which fill my working day.

I was very happy with my solicitor Justine McCool and how she handled my case.
She inspired confidence in me, I felt she gave me honest and good advice, that she was thoughtful in dealing with my case and not just going through the motions. I found the staff at Hedges polite, responsive and helpful. This is the first time I've dealt with a solicitor and not found them to be slightly arrogant. I would recommend Hedges to othe people. Things to improve - I did not find the billing very clear.
