Gina was on the ball from the off. Every milestone of my purchase went smoothly and I was updated throughout. Gina was very efficient and lovely to talk to on the phone. Her assistant Destiny, was great too, who helped me hugely at the start of the process.
If I could, I’d buy them both a drink.

Amazing conveyancing service
I had a good experience buying my first home recently. My solicitor, Gina Applegate, helped me through the buying process. Although initially I couldn’t reach her by phone, she was available to provide advice and guide me to completion in the last months. She also effectively communicated with the sellers solicitors and pushed for timely completion of the purchase. Destiny helped to exchange contracts and transfer monies to sellers solicitor when Gina was away.

Such a bad experience with this conveyancer so stressful. Lack of communicatiion calls not returned we were sending emails asking for updates. After several emails sent with no response we once again called this company and managed to speak to Gilmore who tried his best to update us. Going through this process we did a lot of the work ourselves to keep things moving forward. When a documents had to be sent to the land registry she did not mark as urgent, we once again spoke to the land registry and we were told it’s a good thing we contacted them to make them aware as they can take up to 15 weeks to respond. But it gets worse on the day of completion she did not have the redemption figure for our mortgage, when l spoke to the building society they informed me this could have been asked for days before. So on completion day our buyers funding was there at mid day but as she didn’t request the redemption figure in time she could not release our money. The completion was on a Friday so when eventually the monies went into our account it was too late for me to do a transfer for our new property. The stress this caused was awful and the additional costing for us shocking. Three days in a hotel, double removal costs three days storage of our goods, Three days extra van hire, clothes and toiletries we had to buy as all our possessions were with the removal company. We have never experienced such stress it was awful. So no we would definitely not recommend.

Much too long
Four and a half months to complete on an empty flat with no chain , no mortgage etc .I appreciate the lady dealing with the sale was unwell but the sale should have been passed to some one else.The estate agent & myself spend too much time chasing .My original wedding certificate was sent to the wrong address and I was told to chase with the post office ! The certificate was found about six weeks later by chance .I even had to make several calls to get my money sent over .I would not use or recommend this solicitor .

First time buyer so can't really compare, though my experience with Leadenhall was a good one. Gina was very professional and helpful!

Let down.
Hugely disappointed & mislead when I needed her the most.
1. As instructed I organised a removal van on the day of completion.
This completion didn’t happen, I was left with all my possessions and belongings on 2 removal vans .
2. Due to this event i was left having to sleep in my car, my medication was in my fridge on the removal van.
3. 1pm the following day finally I received a phone call confirmation that I could move.
4. The remaining funds were delayed thus not being able to pay my removal company for 3 days.
This caused added much stress & anxiety.
