Victoria Oerton (pronounced Orton - just ignore the e) hails from North Devon, the daughter of a local solicitor, and in fact is the fifth generation of solicitors in her family. Vic was a trainee solicitor in North Devon before moving to South Devon upon qualification, where she practised until setting up Oerton Simm with Graham. Victoria approaches cases in the same spirit as Graham, namely believing that talking about problems, rather than shouting and fighting, is the best way to resolve them. Not always possible, but an admirable objective and one that has settled many of her cases much earlier than would otherwise have been the case. Victoria is also a Collaboratively qualified solicitor, and is a committee member of Somerset Resolution (formerly the Solicitors family Law Association). In her spare time Victoria is a keen chef (and has too many cook books), loves reading, gardening, and listening to Graham murder the ukulele...not

    Outstanding Support and Service During a Difficult Divorce

    I was introduced to Victoria at Oerton Simms through a friend after experiencing an unbelievably poor service from my previous lawyer during my divorce. From the very first call, I felt supported and reassured, like I actually had a chance of coming through everything in a good position. It was refreshing to work with a lawyer who not only understood the seriousness of the situation but also matched my sense of humour and communication style. Victoria was outstanding throughout, and her responsiveness was excellent. Laura, her legal secretary, was equally fantastic, always keeping things moving and stepping in whenever needed, which gave me real confidence that everything was being handled properly. I genuinely feel they went above and beyond for me. Solicitor fees are never cheap, but throughout the process I felt everything was fair and transparent, which is all you can ask for. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Victoria and the team, and I’ve already started doing so.
