Khalda Wali is our Principal Solicitor and is an Accredited Family Law Specialist and Head of the Family Law Department in the firm. She is strong minded and passionate about advocating and empowering her clients. She is an accredited specialist in her field. Her approach is to provide clients with realistic and practical advice and her experience ensures that she achieves the best possible outcomes. She is well known for being empathic, client focused and results orientated. She has a particular skill of being able to connect with her clients and dig into what really matters for them. Each case is seen as a personal challenge and the aim is to advise and empower her clients in often difficult and emotional cases. Khalda has a keen eye for detail and is particularly regarded for her work with domestic abuse cases and complex cross border divorce and financial claims. She has extensive experience of dealing with sheriff court and Court of Session litigation and has attended hundreds of cases throughout the length and breadth of Scotland. She has a particular interest in dealing with cases which involve an international or cross-border element. She is often approached by other law firms for advice and opinions and receives referrals from various domestic abuse agencies and other professional firms. Speaking fluent Urdu and Punjabi also ensures her bilingual skills are utilised to the benefit of her clients. The cultural sensitivity and insight she displays puts her in a unique position and allows her to relate to her clients in a way which is invaluable.
