Simon qualified as a solicitor in May 1997 and in late 1999 made the decision to start Tank Jowett Solicitors with Baljit Tank, his colleague from university, both of whom shared a passion for criminal defence work. I can’t recommend Tank Jowett enough
After struggling for months with a lawyer appointed to my father by the courts, we were fortunate to have Simon Jowett step in and take over his case. It was clear as soon as we started working with Simon that he was not only a highly skilled lawyer but that he also genuinely cared about our situation. Simon was incredibly professional, attentive, and always kept us informed throughout the entire process.

Drugs case
We came to Simon Jowett after my son was arrested and charged with dealing class A drugs. It was a very difficult case - although he was not guilty of dealing, he’s been at a festival where many drugs were being bought and sold so the circumstantial evidence was strong. My son had also been given bad legal advice by a duty solicitor at the time of arrest, which meant he signed an admission of guilt. Despite all of this, Simon Jowett put together a compelling case to the CPS, appointed an excellent barrister, and worked tirelessly over months to make sure no stone was left unturned in the efforts to minimise the potential damage for my son. His brilliant legal mind, combined with a natural charm and relationships with the police, CPS and others, eventually led to most of the charges being dropped, much to our great relief. He was also available to us, almost at any time, including evenings and weekends, if we needed to discuss anything to do with the case or just needed some reassurance - which he was always able to provide. The best criminal lawyer I’ve dealt with and I would recommend him unreservedly.

Fantastic service by Simon and the team
Dealt with my matter very well, I got phone calls to discuss the matter on the phone with Simon Jowett and then was advised on what to do with one of the barristers. Went to court and won the case. Can’t thank them enough 5 star service

Fantastic Job
