Although Theresa started out predominantly in criminal defence litigation, she also has experience in civil litigation and private client work. Theresa began working in law from grassroots initially as an outdoor clerk, then in case progression in criminal law, as well as being a Head Paralegal in a barristers’ chambers. Theresa finally decided to specialise in Family Law Practice in February 2016 when the first divorce case she understood was in respect of an individual who had been systematically mentally abused by his wife and where there was a strong element of financial coercion, and he needed someone on his side to bring about an equitable remedy to a situation where he would have otherwise left the marriage with very little. It was this case that started Theresa on the path to work within Family Law.

I had great pleasure in dealing with a very kind and professional solicitor called Theresa, who helped me with the whole process of changing my name by deed poll. Divorce proceedings.
I used Donnelly & Elliott, Gosport branch (Theresa Holden acting) for my recent divorce. They offered an initial 15 minute free consultation in which, the proceedings, stages of divorce and costs were explained to me.
Once instructed, I was kept informed everybstepnofnthe way and if I had any questions, they were answered in a timely fashion.
