I am an Associate Solicitor in the family team based in the Swansea office, specialising in all aspects of family law including divorce, cohabitation breakdown, child arrangements, financial matters and domestic abuse issues. I have been working in family law since 2003, starting my career with a High Street practise in Swansea. I was with that firm for 10 years and then worked as a Professional Support Lawyer for a legal publisher (LexisNexis) in Bristol. I then ran my own divorce consultancy service for 5 years, before accepting the opportunity to begin my role with RedKite in December 2021. I am an Accredited Specialist with Resolution (an organisation of family law professionals which encourages a non-confrontational approach in dealing with family law matters). I strive to help clients reach an amicable solution to their family law case wherever possible, although I do not shy away from court proceedings where necessary and am experienced in representing clients at court. I fully appreciate that going through a family law case is a very emotional and stressful experience and I do my best to support my clients through this difficult time and to reduce the stress as much as possible. I aim to be down-to-earth, approachable and empathetic, which is important in family law cases, where people need to feel supported and understood.

Divorce proceedings
I first filed for divorce in January 2021, it was a long process, but it’s now finally over, and I can’t thank Paula enough for stepping in, and being so supportive and helpful when I changed over to her towards the end and getting it sorted for me. 5 Star Service - Highly recommended!!
Paula Tanner acted for me in the final stages of a Family Law issue. She picked up the baton from another solicitor who had dealt with the case over several months.
