A solicitor since 1979, Derek has vast practical experience as a lawyer. A specialist in Regulatory and Criminal law, his skills, knowledge, experience and tenacity have seen him become one of the region’s most sought after solicitors. As well as his work prosecuting and defending regulatory crime and providing robust criminal defences, his pragmatic, no-nonsense approach has been a major influence in creating the firm’s positive can-do culture. Derek’s time as managing partner was instrumental in the growth of the firm. He now works part-time as a consultant. He is a proud Yorkshireman and his down to earth approach is echoed throughout the firm.
