I am writing this review in the hope of preventing the level of negligence and malpractice that I experienced at this firm from happening to anyone else. If you’ve ever gone through a divorce or child custody case, you know how exhausting and stressful it can get. So you’d need the right solicitor who has your interest at heart. I thought I had a good solicitor, but unfortunately, Kays Solicitors was overcharging and sometimes double-charged me for services rendered. I didn’t bother to double-check any of the invoices sent to me, as I never thought a legal practitioner would do something like that, let alone to someone going through a messy situation. When I finally went through the invoices as I was struggling to pay for Kay’s services, I noticed I had been over and double charged for services rendered, I then confronted Kay, who admitted to overcharging me but said it was just an error. I suspected it was a deliberate act, so I looked further and realized I was being owed some money from the “error,” but Kay refused to refund any money back to me. When I threatened to expose the firm for their extortion and report them to the Ombudsman, Kay panicked and then accused me of harassment, and reported it to the authorities. Unknown to her that I had proof of my visit to her office. Kay also, advised me that I wasn’t qualified to get legal aid, so she could continue to overcharge me for services rendered by her firm. I later found that I was qualified for legal aid all this time I was paying through my nose for these services. I have now reported this matter to the appropriate authorities. Please be very careful when dealing with this firm.
