It was a completely different experience compared with other solicitors that I've worked with before. One of the biggest contrasts is that Stefano is very straightforward with his opinion about what he thinks is the right decision to make to protect his client from any risks. The word ambiguity doesn't exist with Stefano. To be honest, I didn't enjoy getting his emails at the beginning at all. I've used quite a few different solicitors in the past years, but none of them would be so direct and honest with their opinion, and that felt unusual to me. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to meet Stefano in person and have lunch with him and his wife, Marilyn. He shared his knowledge as an experienced solicitor, and Marilyn is his excellent legal assistant. They are a very adorable couple. After that lunch, I immediately liked him as a friend and respected him as a solicitor. His price is the highest compared to what I used to pay, but I have understood so much more about the legalities of the deal, and I can really feel that I’m in safe hands. As an overseas investor, there are already too many difficulties that I have to overcome. However, I know that Stefano will always have my back. I will definitely use him again for the next commercial deal.

We were struggling with making our way through the minefield of gifting a couple of properties and some land from one elderly family member to another member of the family rather than letting the taxman take 40% when that sad day actually comes. Mr Lucatello, clearly an expert in his field, not only carried out all the necessary work but, even when it transpired that one of the properties and the land were actually of unregistered title, still managed to get the process complete within weeks, when the current waiting time with HMLR is actually up to two years.
