This was my first purchase of a house. From talking with friends, I had somewhat of a negative view around the conveyancing side of purchasing. However, I was recommended Forbes by a friend who recently used their services.
Any prior negative view I had was quickly dampened when I came into contact with Forbes. The initial contact was straight forward and then I had been assigned to both Natalie and Jennifer to act on my behalf.
Both had always remained professional and approachable throughout the hole process. As I said, this was my first time and Jennifer had explained everything in “layman terms” to me which was helpful as legal context can sometimes be overwhelming.
Natalie was also helpful in responding to any queries I had and had made it clear that if I had any issues I could approach her. She had even stayed past her finish time to quickly explain the breakdown of payments when I had a query regarding this!
All in all, I would definitely recommend Forbes to any of my friends moving forward and would defiantly, without a doubt, approach them again should I require such services again!

House sale and purchase
Forbes dealt with both the sale of our property and purchase of a new one.
We dealt with Hayley, Natalie and Jennifer and all were great. Good communication and very prompt answers to any queries.
They also made a huge effort to get this completed before Christmas.

Excellent efficient service
Great service and very efficient and even though my first sale fell through this wasn't a problem. Very pleasant solicitor, Hayley, was very helpful and kept me updated promptly. Perhaps the only downside was I'm based in Preston and the office dealing with property sales is in Blackburn, however I was able to drop documents off at the Preston branch and conduct most of the sale via email or phone.

Property Sale - A Very Positive Experience
We have recently completed on a property sale with the support of Forbes Solicitors in Blackburn. The experience has been a positive and smooth one throughout, with regular and clear communication/guidance along the way. Good service in a stressful process
Natalie and Hayley were very good at working through my case, particularly when the buyers side started to cause material issues in the process. They worked hard to get our case to completion despite the lack of professionalism the other side showed. There were moments where they could have informed me of certain information, like the buyers intended completion date, but they showed themselves to be far more competent, far more communicative and far more professional then the other side.

House Purchase

Fantastic service
Buying/selling a house is usually quite stressful but that has not been the case using Forbes! The process was flawless, done quickly, professionally and I was updated throughout. Natalie (+team) have been fantastic. Would recommend and use again!
