Shockingly bad service. Appointed to manage my house sale and purchase of another property, I appointed another solicitor for the purchase (& only stuck with Fishman Brand Stone for the sale because I didn't want to delay things). What a shockingly poor experience. Awful. I'd explained to Ian Fishman why I needed a weekly update by phone or email (personal and medical reasons). Ian's emails (when they came) made no sense, read as though they'd been dictated by phone and not sense-checked, his tone was shrill, combative, stress-inducing from the onset and for no reason at all. Ian was so obstructive that other parties involved in the sale had to liaise amongst ourselves to work around him. Shouting at me - at length - on the phone. I pointed out that wasn't the way to speak to a client, and asked to deal with his assistant in future dialogue. Filed a complaint with the firm. Was handed over to Robert Stone who assured me that the complaint would be looked into. I've completed on sale and purchase. No sign of any progress with the complaint filed. Here's an example of what I said: "I have remained respectful and appropriate to you throughout our conversations where your tone has been increasingly irritated with me, your client. I do not appreciate you speaking to me like I am a child, talking over me, telling me that my calls are unnecessary. I won't even mention your admonishments" and here's how his response began: 'I am sorry that you that you felt the need to write to me in these terms.' Couldn't even muster a decent apology. I would strongly urge anyone - if you value professionalism, courtesy, accuracy and timeliness of response, avoid this firm at all costs. A horrible experience.
