Anna graduated from Leeds University in 1994 with a degree in Law with European Law. Anna trained at Nabarro Nathanson and qualified in 1998. Anna was a Partner and Head of Construction and Engineering at Jeffrey Green Russell before joining Nicholas and Co as a Consultant. Anna focuses on the law relating to non-contentious construction and engineering. Acting for a broad range of clients - developers, contractors, sub-contractors, consultants, purchasers, tenants and funds - she advises on all aspects of the documentation used in construction projects, including building contracts, professional appointments, collateral warranties, bank and surety bonds, insurance issues and on the construction aspects of development, lease and funding agreements. Anna's expertise and opinion in her specialist areas have frequently been sought by the professional press and by leading publishers. Anna is an award-winning lawyer in her chosen field and in 2018 she won the Best Business Women Award for Legal Services and has a number of other awards, most recently the Build Construction and Engineering Award for Construction Lawyer of the Year 2020 (UK). She has written for construction, engineering and legal journals including the 2004 reissue of Volume 5 (Building and Engineering Contracts) of the Encyclopaedia of Forms and Precedents and the 2006 reissue of Volume 38(1) and the 2007 reissue of Volume 38(3) (Sale of Land) of the same publication (published by LexisNexis Butterworths). In 2018 Anna was appointed the Consultant Editor for the reissue of 'Building Contracts', Volume 6 Halsbury's Laws of England. She is a member of the Society of Construction Law (SCL) and of the Technology and Construction Solicitors Association (TeCSA). Outside the office Anna enjoys sports, travelling, the theatre (particularly musicals and the ballet), crime novels and dining out. Most importantly after her job, which is her hobby, she loves spending time with family, especially her two children.
