I was born in the Staffordshire Moorlands and attended Westwood High School in Leek. I began my legal career in 1991 working for a small high street Solicitors’ practice in Macclesfield where I was employed as a trainee Legal Executive. After qualifying as a Legal Executive I continued with my studies to qualify as a Solicitor, a Resolution Accredited Specialist Family Lawyer and a Collaborative Lawyer. During my long career, I have worked at several solicitors practices ranging from small rural firms to large commercial practices locally and in Manchester. I wish to provide a fresh modern approach to the way that Family Law is delivered to the local community.

Very good professional service, would highly recommend
Very pleased with the professional service I received throughout my divorce has it is a very stressful time. Jo was always approachable & easy to talk to regarding matters which at times the technical terms can be confusing & was never afraid or made to feel silly with questions I felt that needed to be answered. Always reassuring & showed compassion throughout

Relationship breakdown
Jo was always available when i needed reasurance and information. Jo was profesional and always acted quickly and promptly. The best Barrister was found for me and i am truly gratefull for all the support i received with Jo and Emily.

I cannot thank Jo enough for what she has done for me and my family.
As an unmarried but extremely loving active family man I was told by my ex-partner of many years that I had no rights. After being recommended to Jo from someone I know who also is in family law I never looked back. Jo is fair and tells you the truth and tries to make the situation work for the family and I completely trust her. Jo has a vast knowledge on family law and how all the procedures work which is very reassuring but is humble enough to admit if uncertain about something and will come back with an answer shortly after. I feel Jo has a great advantage of being on her own and not part of a firm as this allows her to act quickly on all areas of the case. This really helped in my case and without Jo and her fast thinking and actions I am sure the outcome would of been very different. Jo goes above and beyond to help. Nothing is done behind your back and Jo keeps you informed throughout. After two court visits my case was resolved and I am extremely happy with the outcome as both parents are still active parents which is best for our child and there has been very little adjustment to their life which they are thriving with. There is genuine happiness and optimism in my life which had been removed for so long and I have Jo to thank for this. I really can�t recommend Jo enough. Many many thanks Jo
